Don’t overlook the company parking lot when considering how to reduce energy use and climate-change impact.  The emissions generated by staff getting to and from work can easily exceed the total emissions your office generates during the day.  Offering incentives to take transit, bike, walk or carpool to work reduces this impact and provides a valuable benefit for your employees.  Of course these benefits are also good for your business—happier employees are more productive and less likely to seek other employment.
